Governance
The Royal Societies of Australia (RSA) is registered with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) as an Australian public company limited by guarantee. It was established in August 2007 to promote and advance knowledge and learning in Australian society through its advocacy of and for Australia’s state-based Royal Societies which form the membership of the company.
The RSA is governed by a Council that manages all Society business in accordance with its RSA Constitution. The Council consists of the President, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer, and a number of Councillors, all representing the RSA’s member societies.
The Royal Societies of Australia is a not-for-profit organisation registered as a charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
