On the afternoon of Monday 13 November 2023 representatives of all Australia’s Royal Societies met with the Patron of the Royal Societies of Australia, His Excellency General The Honourable David Hurley AC DSC(Rtd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley at Government House Canberra. The RSA thanks Their Excellencies for the opportunity to provide them with an update on the activities of Australia’s Royal Societies and how they might work together for the betterment of Australian society.

Following presentations from each Society, and further discussion, the gathering participated in singing a song specially written for the occasion by Mrs Hurley. The CEO of the Royal Society of Victoria, Mr Mike Flattley, was invited to accompany the group at the piano.
