Interior of Royal Society of South Australia RoomsThe Annual Meeting of Royal Societies in Australia was held in Adelaide on Friday 22 November 2024 to discuss topics of mutual concern and to provide input into future planning for the RSA. Representatives of all Royal Societies present provided an update on their activities, achievements and future plans.

The meeting was held in the Rooms of the Royal Society of South Australia, North Terrace, Adelaide, South Australia. The RSA would like to express its sincere thanks to the RSSA for hosting the meeting.

The meeting was fortunate in having both the husband of the Governor of South Australia and co-patron of the Royal Society of South Australia, Mr Rod Bunten, and the Director of the South Australian Museum, Dr David Gaimster, present at the start of the meeting to hear about the RSA and other Royal Society matters, and to offer their encouragement.

The meeting was followed by a gathering of attendees, together with invited guests from relevant local organisations such as the Australian Science Media Centre and local universities, in the Mutual Trust Boardroom. The RSA thanks Mutual Trust for generously providing the venue.
